When Peter and Ellen talk about their work, there are two phrases you will hear them use.

1. The Work.
2. Building community.

Many years ago, Peter & Ellen both decided to fully step up to the plate and embrace “the work”. What is the work? Sharing music with children and their grownups (parents and/or teachers). Doesn’t matter if they’re in a secular (non-religious) setting or a Jewish setting, or if they’re performing a family concert or conducting a songwriting workshop with students in an elementary school or leading a Wow Worship service at a synagogue or speaking in front of 2000 Early Childhood teachers about the importance of music in the lives of young children – they are passionate about “the work” and feel blessed to be able to do what they both feel called to do.

Peter & Ellen view music as a tool that enables people to build community. They believe that providing people with opportunities to sing together opens doors and plants and nurtures the seeds for making the world a happier, safer, more just and peaceful place to live. A simple and powerful idea, one that has a longlasting and rippling impact on everyone, everywhere.

In addition to being on the road, Peter & Ellen’s work as fulltime musicians includes composing and recording songs, developing keynote and workshop presentations, conducting research and development for the creation of their keynotes and workshops, and making sure to stay current as it relates to Early Childhood and Family education for both their secular and Jewish work.

Hats. They wear two of them. One hat is for the work they do in the world of secular (non-religious) music. And the other hat is for the work they do in the world of Jewish music. As highly skilled and experienced educators, musicians, composers and performers, Peter & Ellen are well equipped to present exciting, relevant, customized programs to suit any event or situation. They have been leaders and innovators in creating valuable presentations for children and adults, from small intimate settings to large venues. Their direct and unadorned style of working with an audience is effective and lasting, and is guaranteed to be the ideal workshop, concert, worship service or artist-in-residency for your community.

And as always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call Laura Pumo, Peter & Ellen’s Office Manager at 800-610-4297. She will ask you a few questions and gather some initial information and then immediately put you in touch with Peter & Ellen so that they can talk with you and help you custom design a program that is guaranteed to be a perfect fit for you and your organization.
